54 low/ 73 high 1 lock today/ 27 for 2014
We left Hastings Village Marina about 8 am yesterday headed for Peterborough. After a short distance on the Trent River we entered Rice Lake. It is the second largest lake on the waterway at 20 miles long and 3 miles wide dotted with many small islands. Once across we entered the Otonabee River following it to the Scott's Mills Lock #19, then through Little Lake to the Peterborough Marina. After docking and getting settled in we took a bike ride around the area. Got caught in a few rain showers but enjoyed it. Had dinner with Ron & Jan again at Riley's Pub. Back on the boat we could hear the Jazz music being played outside at the Holiday Inn which is next to the marina. Ron & Jan came over and we spent time talking and listening. A nice evening.
