On to Bobcaygeon!

57 low / 70 high         3 locks today / 38 total for 2014

We left the "resort" just before 8 am heading for the Burleigh Falls lock. We arrived a few minutes after 9 but the lock was still not open so we tied up to the wall and waited. This leg of the the trip was by far the prettiest. It took us through Clear Lake, Hell's Gate and Stoney Lake. Hundreds of small islands, most with homes on them.  The rain was forecast to start about 130 and as we arrived at 140 it was starting to drizzle. It rained for several hours so Ann and I both napped. About 5 it was gone so we decided to bike across the river and lock into the main part of Bobcaygeon. We met Ron & Jan on the other side as they had gone through lock 32 and were on the upper wall. The girls went into Bigley's Shoe store and fond a lot of what they could buy at Macy's but at much higher prices. Ron and I walked down the street and found Donatella Bar & Grill. It's an Italian restaurant the has been touted as upscale Italian dining. Not so and we were't that impressed. The food was good at best. The caprese salad had 6 tomato slices and 6 nickel sized dollops of mozzarella. A quick stop at Foodland for some avocados and mangos and back to the boat for some tv and a good nights sleep.

Lovesick Lake Lock, working on the dam.
