Killarney and the end of Georgian Bay

63 low / 64 high

We left Bying Inlet at 0630 yesterday headed for Killarney. This was one of the prettiest days and the most challenging of Georgian Bay for us. Following the small craft channel with Ron leading, because he draws less water and could warn us of shallow spots. First through the very narrow Cunninghams Channel in which our electronic charts show the red buoy on the left hand shoreline. We are supposed to pass to the left of it! When Ron got to it there was very little space to the left so I stopped and he passed just to it's right with plenty of water. Next was another very narrow area called Rogers Gut. Next was a long stretch of unprotected water which was quite rolly. Then a stretch around the Bustard Islands which was smooth. Then another 2 hr. stretch open to the bay, again quite rolly. When we came back in again we went through some breathtaking scenery in Collins Inlet and finally to Killarney. This ends our Travel on Georgian Bay. Next the North Channel.

Note the red buoy between 25 & 26!

The model next to the cabin? A mannequin.

A skeleton in the chair enjoying a beer!

They call these moon rocks because of the coloring and low rounded shape.

Narrow channel, see the red and green buoys.

Collins Inlet.

Killarney, Sportsmans Inn. We are across the channel.
