Saugatuck, Mi.

69 low / 83 high

We had a pretty good ride again south to Saugatuck. The town is located about 2 miles inland on the Kalamazoo River. It was a scenic ride with the sand dunes again and along the river with many big homes. Our marina is a short distance from town so we biked in after lunch and then walked around. Another resort/tourist town with lots of expensive shops and plenty of restaurants. There was music in the park at 700 pm so we came back to town and had dinner outside just across the street.

More sand dunes.

We met this tour boat as we entered the Kalamazoo River.

Side yard.

Yard wind ornaments.

Docks along the waterfront.

A chain ferry. The young men crank the wheel in the center of the ferry and the chain pulls them across.

Music in the park.
