Leland, Mi.

60 low / 81 high
We arrived in Leland just before 11 am after a lovely cruise in flat water. This is an old fishing village transformed into a tourist area. The small river travels east from the bay and the first few blocks have the old fishing shantys along both sides. These are now shops and restaurants. We had lunch and then walked through the area. Ann later went back and visited the shops while I took an afternoon nap. There is an actual working fish house and we stopped later and bought some smoked fish spread. Our neighbors arrived just after lunch and gave us some fish they had caught and just cooked as well as corn on the cob. We had these for dinner as well as cheese, fish spread and crostinis.
