Grand Haven, Mi.

61 low / 79 high

We departed Ludington just before 730 am on our way to Muskegon. The winds have switched around from the east and were forecast to be southerly as the day progressed. The lake was for the most part like glass and the sun came out later in the morning. Today, Tue., shows rain and thunderstorms at 100%. After a little discussion about being stuck in Muskegon until Wed. we decided to push on the extra 16 miles and 2 hours to Grand Haven. We followed 2 looper boats into the harbor and after docking discovered 3 others already docked. We had sort of a docktail party and 4 of us decided to go to dinner. As we were walking down the street I recognized a couple coming towards us. It was Bob & Carol Kunath who are summer residents in Wisconsin and winter in Venice, Fl. by us. We are both members of the power squadron and Bob is an editor with Waterway Guide. He was touring the marinas along this coast. They joined us for dinner at Tip a Few. Great Mexican food  in a locals bar. We capped off the night with the fountain light show that goes on just across the river off the back of the boat. As I write this about 700 am Tue. the line of thunderstorms has started across us.
