We got to the entrance of the lock at 9 am for a 10 am opening. Just as the gates opened 2 large boats came screaming up the approach canal and tried to bypass everyone in line. 1 succeeded so we waited another hour to lock through. It turned out for the best as there were tstms that crossed ahead of us enroute to the next lock. All we got was some light rain. The Carillon lock is amazing, 65' lift. We arrived in Hawkesbury about 430 pm. Walked into town for dinner and stopped at Tim Hortons coffee for this free wifi. Hope to get off early tomorrow with a stop at Montebello, then maybe to Ottawa. Will post pictures when able.
