Today was a short day because we had a very shallow stretch to traverse at high tide which made a very early departure impossible. Georgetown is the only place to stop and that was about 70 miles so we decided to break it into 2 days. As soon as the thunderstorms past we headed out for a nice ride down Charleston Harbor past Fort Sumter and on to Isle of Palms Marina. After we arrived we took a walk to the beach. Later Jimmy & Patti came and we went to the VFW on the beach for happy hour and back to the marina restaurant for dinner.
