We departed Southport about 600 am on a rising tide with many more shallow areas to transit. As we turned up the Cape Fear River we started getting light rain. It stayed with us for about 1.5 hrs. There were lots of thunderstorm off in the distance but they were traveling perpendicular to us. We got lucky, nothing in the forecast for the morning. Otherwise a pleasant day for cruising again with the air conditioner running as the temperature climbed to the high 80's with high humidity. We passed Carolina Beach as well as Wrightsville Beach arriving at Harbor Village Marina about lunch time. This is a private marina that rents out slips to transients. It's a very nice facility. We'll be here 2 days as Ann's cousin is here visiting her daughter.
