St. Augustine Day 2

13 May 2015    0 sm today

Wednesday started with another beautiful sunrise. We headed off to breakfast about 645 am and had french toast and biscuits with sausage gravy. This was at a Greek restaurant!! On the way back to the boat we walked up to take pictures of the lions at the end of the Bridge of Lions. But, no sd card in the camera. At 900 am we took the Cruisers Shuttle to the Sailors Exchange. This is a huge building and parking lot full of mostly used boat parts. 45 min. there and we didn't find anything we needed. We had an early lunch so we could catch a piano concert at the old Presbyterian Church. It was part of the events to celebrate the 450th anniversary of the City of St. Augustine. There were 2 women playing the same piano at the same time. They called it 4 hand. The concert of chamber music was great. Afterwards we walked through the Flagler College campus to the Lichgner Museum. It is a museum of antiques and collections. It is housed in part of the old Alcazar Hotel built by Flagler. A very interesting and educational visit. Then a walk through some more of the eclectic shops along the narrow streets of old town. Finally dinner at Harry's seafood. All I can say is it was wonderful!!

Lunch at O. C. Whites.
