Jacksonville

14 May, 2015   31.6 sm today

Ann's sister Sara and brother-in-law Jim joined us today to travel to Jacksonville where they live. Our planned departure was 1130 am so we had some time to walk around town again and get some of the pictures that I missed yesterday when I forgot to return the sd card to the camera.

Sara & Jim

Bridge of Lions.

Posing with Ponce De Leon.

Oldest school house.

Old city gate.

Sisters!

Once underway we had a nice trip. It was a bit windy all day but the weather held. There is a replica of a Spanish galleon docked here that sailed from Spain.

The old fort from the water.

The intercoastal along the first stretch was very wide again the banks ranged from many nice homes to marshes. There was a quite large fire along 1 shoreline that almost obscured the waterway with smoke.

And out of the smoke comes a Sea Tow boat towing a sailboat.

We are starting to get large tidal ranges.
We arrived in Jacksonville at Palm Cove Marina about 4 pm. Dinner at Marker 32 hear in the marina topped off a great day.

We made it!
