Charleston

28 May 2015    71.2 sm today

We departed shortly before sunrise as we had a long day with several shallow areas to pass before low tide. The first was the Ashepoo Coosaw Cutoff. This was going to be near low tide so we elected the bypass out to the mouth of St. Helena Sound. We were glad we did as later we heard 2 boats on the radio that had run aground in the cutoff. The other spots were not to bad but were stressful. It was a long day and we were glad to be tied up at St. John's Yacht Harbor. Dinner was with looper friends Stel & Burke Lee of Estralita. They live here on Johns Island.

Sunrise as we depart.

A shrimper near the mouth of St. Helena Sound.

These crab floats caught a tree.

Elliot Cut where we pass through to the main Charleston Harbor.

After dinner.
