After a great 7 1/2 days in Ottawa we finally said goodbye. It had to be one of our favorite stops. We left at 0850 to make the opening of a swing bridge at 0900 and arrived just as it opened. Good timing! The scenery and homes along the Rideau was beautiful. After 8 locks and 7 hours we pulled in to Hurst Marina just about 4 pm. We needed diesel, a pump out, water and a laundry. There was 1 washer and 1 dryer and we joined the queue in #3 position. We got 2 loads done and decided to stay another day to finish and get the boat washed. I was up at 0530 and put our 1st load in before anyone else was awake.

Tied to the blue line awaiting the boats coming down the lock.

Tonight we will eat out at The Swan On The Rideau. It's an English style pub & restaurant located on the property.
