Still in Croton on Hudson

The weather finally cleared yesterday and today is going to be sunny and in the 80's. We are still here because the entire Erie Canal is shut down due to flooding and debris. It's likely to stay that way for another 10 days. If you read a few of the blogs here that have recent posts you will get an idea of the conditions. There are quite a few boats stuck at various locks and even the marinas in Kingston are full. It is our next stop about 50 miles north. So everyone awaits their turn to move forward. We are in a nice place with plenty to do. Today is the Clearwater Music Festival on the point just to our south. It was started by Pete Seeger and features almost 100 performers. The proceeds are used for environmental purposes. You can google it to find out more. I'll keep everyone posted on the canal status.
