We departed Fisherman's Wharf Marina in Venice, Fl. at 0830 and started our 4th year on the great loop. We originally planned to stop in Placida for the night but with a cold front coming through on Fri. and high winds forecast for Sat. we decided to push on to Ft. Meyers. It was a nice day on the water with just light chop on the big open bays. It didn't take to long to get the first of many wakings of the day and we quickly were brought back to the reality of travel on the intercoastal waterway. We arrived at the Ft. Myers City Yacht Basin at 530 pm and got tied up and the ac going. After a quick shower we walked into town and had dinner at the Ford's Garage. A great place to people watch as they were extremely busy. Back to the boat about 800 pm to chill out for a bit after the long day.
