We left Belhaven about 9 am after waiting for the winds to die down. We had a nice trip down the Pungo River and the Pamlico River. Then ran the canal at Goose Island and made a stop in Hobucken to buy some seafood at R.E. Mayo Company. We got 21/25 count shrimp for $4.00/lb. as well as scallops and crab.

After leaving R.E. Mayo we traveled the Neuse River and arrived in Oriental after about a 6 hour trip. We are docked at The Oriental Marina and Inn. This is a wonderful little town. Today,
Tue. the 13th, Ann and I got 2 loaner bikes and rode along the Neuse River and to the grocery. There were small craft advisory's today along the last half of our route so we'll try again tomorrow.
